SEO · Architects

SEO for architects, by the building they are instructed on.

A house and a housing site are different commissions. A folder of renderings is neither.

Starting fee ₹40,000 a month, plus GST. The column marked on this page is that scope. The other published columns are below.

A printed floor plan, a scale ruler and a white massing model on a drafting table.
A drawing table. Editorial image, generated for this site. Not a practice’s drawings and not a built project.

The Council’s scale is a percentage of the works. This fee is not.

No substantial study of what Indian architecture practices spend on SEO was identified in the sources reviewed on 11 October 2026. The sourced fact is the Council of Architecture’s published scale of charges, read on that date from the Council’s scale page. The page is stamped “Last Updated On: 11-10-2026”. That stamp is the date on the page. It is not evidence that the percentages were revised that day. The scale is the Council’s publication. It is not a survey of invoices.

Comprehensive architectural services, as that page states them: an individual house at 7.5 percent of the cost of works assigned. Single-block housing and sites up to 0.5 hectare at 5 percent. A site of more than 0.5 hectare and up to 2.5 hectares at 3.5 percent. More than 2.5 hectares and up to 5 hectares at 2.5 percent. More than 5 hectares at 2 percent. All projects other than housing: 5 percent of the cost of works assigned. Interior architecture, graphic design and signage: 7.5 percent of the cost of works assigned. That interior line is the scale for an architect engaged for the service. It is not a rule for every interior studio. Studios that are not architects are a different page, SEO for interior designers.

The explanatory note says that for works costing up to Rs. 1400 M the professional fees may be negotiable. The same note says the current value of M is 1000, so that threshold is ₹14,00,000. Interpretation, and it is arithmetic on the published 7.5 percent, not a measured average: one month of this ₹40,000 retainer is 7.5 percent of about ₹5.3 lakh of works. A house whose cost of works sits under ₹14,00,000 may be negotiated below the scale, so a small house is not assumed to fund the month. Recommendation: the buyer is a practice instructed on buildings, where the commission is a professional fee of that kind. A practice that sells a set of pictures with no instruction behind them is the wrong client. The architect corrects any sentence about registration or awards before it is published. This page does not recite an advertising section of the Architects Act, because that section was not the text read.

01 The problem

Practices get found for a picture, then lose the instruction.

These are ways an architecture site fails a person who already has a site. They are not a claim about every practice.

  1. 01

    Everything is a rendering

A drawing labelled as a finished building is a trust problem. Built work and unbuilt work are different pages, and the unbuilt work says so.

  2. 02

One gallery for every building type

A house, a housing site and a commercial building are different searches. A single grid does not answer any of them.

  3. 03

    Awards that are not documented

A badge is published only when the practice supplies the award and the year. Otherwise it is left off.

  4. 04

No way to start a brief

A visitor with a plot still needs to say what the building is. A contact page with only an email address is where that instruction stops.

02 The work

What the retainer covers for one practice.

The building types the practice will take this year. Not a page for every typology in a textbook.

  1. 01

    Pages by building type

One URL for the houses, the housing, or the other projects the practice is actually instructed on.

  2. 02

    Project records

Only projects the practice supplies. Built or unbuilt is stated. Location and year are the practice’s, not filled in to complete a card.

  3. 03

    The Google profile

The practice’s name, a category that matches, and a phone someone answers. There is no office in Delhi, Gurugram or Noida claimed for a practice that does not have one, and none is claimed for this consultancy.

  4. 04

    A short brief

Building type, a rough site, and a way to reply. Not a request to upload the whole drawing set on the first visit.

  5. 05

    Monthly reporting

Enquiries from non-brand search, and a plain read of what did not move. No position is guaranteed.

03 The process

How an SEO engagement runs

Research starts from the instructions the practice wants this year. A building type with no work behind it is not given a URL.

  1. 01

    Audit

The site, the Google profile, and whether a call or a form is actually counted. The reply says if search is the wrong channel.

  2. 02

    Research

The searches that match services the business sells. Competitor pages are read for structure. Their claimed results are not treated as facts.

  3. 03

    Strategy

Which pages to publish, which to refuse, and which pricing column the scope fits. Written down before the monthly work starts.

  4. 04

    Implementation

Technical fixes, internal links, the profile, and the pages. Anything that states a professional fact is corrected by the client before it goes live.

  5. 05

    Check

Forms, the phone number, redirects from old URLs, and schema that matches the visible page. No review markup is added to invent a rating.

  6. 06

    Report

A monthly read of calls and form fills, including what did not move. The report is the work. It is not a ranking promise.

04 The search

The page is the commission, not the mood.

Found is the building-type page. Trusted is the practice’s name and the projects as supplied, with registration details the architect corrects. Chosen is a short brief. If the website is the constraint, the build is website design for architects.

The Council’s percentages are the architect’s own scale of charges. They are not Shruti Parashar’s fee, and they are not copied onto a studio that is not an architect.

Pages a small practice needs.

A few building types. The projects that belong to them. A way to start.

  1. 01

    The practice

Name, city, and the kinds of building taken. Registration as the architect states it.

  2. 02

    Building type

Houses, housing, or other projects. What the practice will not take.

  3. 03

    Project

One instruction. Built or unbuilt, stated. No invented award.

  4. 04

    People

Who meets the client. Facts the practice supplies.

  5. 05

    Start a brief

Building type, site, and a phone number.

Proof

No practice result is published here.

There is no architecture case study on this site. No enquiry count, no ranking, and no project claimed as a client’s. The drawing table in the image was generated for this site.

A later portfolio piece would be the practice’s own projects, with permission, and would say which were built. None is published now.

Published client work has to meet the case study standard. This page does not invent one to fill the gap.

Fee

One practice, a few building types.

A project library across several types is the Growth column. Competing in several cities is the broader one.

GST on these services is 18%. The local column has a three-month minimum. The larger columns have six. Domain tools and advertising spend are extra. A ranking is not included.

Monthly retainer, billed in advance, excluding GST. No setup fee. The number in the column is the fee for that scope. Reporting and a strategy call are included at every tier.

  1. Growth SEO

Several building types and a project set the practice will keep current.

    ₹65,000 a month, plus GST

The full discipline on one site: technical foundations, a content programme built on commercial intent, earned links, and visibility inside AI answers — one retainer instead of four line items.

    • Complete technical SEO — crawl, index, render, speed, schema
    • Keyword and intent strategy scored on commercial value, not search volume
    • 4 content pieces a month, briefed, written and edited — production included, not billed on top
    • Internal linking architecture that moves authority to the pages that make money
    • AI SEO (GEO): entity and schema work, llms.txt, AI-answer visibility tracking
    • 3–4 earned links a month through outreach and digital PR
    • Conversion rate input on the pages that already rank, so more of the traffic converts
    • Monthly reporting against enquiries and revenue — not rankings alone — plus a strategy call
    What you are paying for

48 published pieces a year, roughly 40 earned links, a technically clean site and a documented keyword strategy — all of it yours to keep. Bought separately, the content, the links and the technical work are three suppliers and three invoices; here they are one fee and one person accountable for the result.

6-month minimum — the first quarter is foundations and rarely shows in revenue.

  2. Broader SEO

A large practice competing beyond one city. Not the usual instruction.

    ₹95,000 a month, plus GST

A programme built around the buying decision — the comparison, the alternative and the objection pages your sales team already answers on every call.

    • Cluster architecture mapped to the buying decision, not the product taxonomy
    • 8–10 pieces a month including comparison, alternative and JTBD pages
    • Product-led content built with your team's subject expertise
    • 6–8 links a month plus a running digital PR programme
    • AI search visibility programme across ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews
    • Competitor displacement: which of their pages we take, and in what order
    • Pipeline-attributed reporting — sessions to signups to qualified pipeline
    • Monthly strategy call with your growth or marketing lead
    What you are paying for

The pages your sales team already answers on every call — comparison, alternative and objection pages — built at 8–10 a month with links behind them, plus reporting that follows a session through to qualified pipeline. Content production sits inside the fee, not as a second invoice.

6-month minimum. Content production is included, not billed on top.

The starting fee named on this page is ₹40,000 a month, plus GST, for the scope marked "Starts here". The full wording, and the add-ons, are on the pricing page. The work is done by Shruti Parashar, from Sonipat, for businesses in India. There is no office in Delhi, Gurugram or Noida.

The same service, without this industry, is the SEO page. The other half of this industry is Website design for architects.

Questions

Questions practices ask.

How much does SEO for an architecture practice cost?

₹40,000 a month, plus GST, for one practice on the Local + Website SEO scope. A practice with several building types and a project library to maintain is the Growth plan at ₹65,000 a month, plus GST. The Council of Architecture’s percentages are the architect’s own scale of charges. They are not this fee.

Will you publish awards and competition wins?

Only when the practice supplies the award, who gave it, and the year. A badge with no record behind it is left off. This page does not invent one.

Is a rendering allowed on the site?

Yes, if it is labelled as a drawing. It is not labelled as a finished building. The visitor should be able to tell the two apart without guessing.

Do you guarantee the first page for ‘architect near me’?

No. What is agreed is the work, the pages, and a monthly read of whether enquiries from non-brand search are moving.
